I’m searching a framework for a multimedia application I need to develop and just started reading about ClanLib (my other alternatives are SDL and SFML plus other libraries) . I found your site listed on the docs and now I’m reading your tutorial. The first three parts are really good, thanks a lot for your effort .

Thanks for the tutorials, they are very good.
I have a suggestion, why don’t you show how to code a very simple game..like pong or something.
This will put all clanlib parts together and give an overview of the latest functions.

I’m sorry, but that is not the focus of this tutorial. Maybe next time

I guess personally I’m the least interested in network code, and while I like pretty things (and would be happy to see more on that) I feel that I can probably more easily muddle my way through the graphics part, but I’d really like to see stuff about structuring. Things that I’m not sure about yet, is the appropriate strucutre for a smooth/portable clanlib based program, I’d love to see something about making an actual state based game (ie states for intro, menu, gameplay)
Anyway while keep up the good stuff.

Most logical and most easy to read ClanLib tutorial I’ve found so far. Added it to my RSS reader for future tutorials. Keep up the good work, Sphair!

Thanks all! Taken the result of the poll in consideration, I now have a few more parts in the works which will focus more on visuals and structure. I’m not changing the goal of the tutorial, but will postpone the heavy network stuff for later parts. Get notified by subscribing to the blog by email or RSS, as it will take some time to write the next parts due to change of focus.

Can’t wait to see more! I’m just a real newbie to programming and have been trying to learn for the fun of it when bored, and your tutorials should help a lot. ClanLib looks very promising.
